Advanced Professional Nurse as Advocate As a nurse continues their education and growth development, it becomes part of their duties to not only be an advocate for the patients at the bedside but now to be an advocate for change. This assignment allows the author to learn and expand on the knowledge to develop an advocacy plan and see the opportunity it provides to impact the community versus just one person.
